Amrun joined the Black Star network in October of 2020.

Located 40Km North of Aurukun and 40Km South of Weipa, Amrun is owned by Rio Tinto.  The Amrun project is mining and processing bauxite which is the primary ore of aluminium.

Approximately 630 people in the mine site work buildings and accommodations listen to Black Star Radio.
